    This is the second edition of a book that explains the basic science and clinical applications of fundus autofluorescence in ophthalmology. The first edition was published in 2009. The purpose is to explain fundus autofluorescence, a worthy objective as it is an important aspect of multimodal imaging used in diagnosis and treatment of retinal disease . The audience is ophthalmologists and those interested in learning about imaging in ophthalmology. The authors are experts in the field . The book covers the basic science and theory behind autofluorescence and its clinical applications in retinal disease states. Excellent figures and illustrations depict multimodal imaging in retinal disease. Each chapter is well organized, up to date, and well researched. The second edition has chapters on more diseases and an interactive searchable online format for use on digital platforms. This is an excellent reference for ophthalmologists, retinal specialists, or those with an interest in retinal disease or ocular imaging. It is concise, well written, and full of excellent images and example cases. The second edition is a major upgrade.
