Given the limited space available for each attraction, I thought the results were excellent; in a few words and with enough colour photos, there is enough information to whet one's appetite. This is an excellent book and every car enthusiast who visits France should but a copy.- Citroenet; Forget Brexit, France is still the best place for the classic enthusiast. To help make the best of your trip, Julian Parish's invaluable guide to all-things auto in France is vital, sporting 11 new events, 130 new photos, live events calendar and digital POI downloads for satnavs. Motorsports, museums, show, and events including Classic British Welcome (classicbw.org), the day before Le Mans is here.- Classic Motoring; Despite its small size, designed to fit in a glovebox, this handy guide succeeds in being both exhaustive and unrivalled in the clarity of its presentation. An impressive piece of work, supplemented by an event calendar and index at the end of the book. The essential tool for the enthusiast. - Lettonie. Here's a jolly useful and detailed little companion for any of you travelling in France. Subtitled 200 Things for Car Enthusiasts to See and Do, you may be a little surprised to know- as I was- just how many shows, museums, galleries, exhibitions and rallies France offered for those travellers with an interest in automobiles.- Big End. As our closest geographical neighbour, France remains as an immense attraction for drivers of all types, whether holiday making, attending car club expeditions, or just traipsing across the Channel for a slice of relative Gallic freedom. Whether we remain in the EU, or not, France will always offers a wealth of attractions, most notably to motorists, either travelling there by ferry, or via the Channel tunnel. Naturally I always arm myself with Michelin maps and the firms restaurant and accommodation guide, as well as the most recent sites directory, whenever tackling French trips. However, a new addition to my car's glovebox will be this marvellous guide. Colourful illustrated across several neatly and practically filed subjects, from Museums, to Shows & Tours, Marketplaces, Motorsport and even Racing Circuits, it is well detailed, seasonally appropriate and editorially interesting. Divided into five regions, each chapter carries a wealth of information that answers all manner of motorists questions.
