In the 1970s and 1980s when already a renowned illustrator of leading children's authors, Monika Beisner began to write and illustrate her own children's books. Several of these became international best sellers, including Book of Riddles, Secret Spells, Topsy Turvy and Catch the Cat. In 2021, she published her autobiography in collaboration with Robert Bush.

Robert Bush was born in 1949 in London and has lived most of his life there. After a career in education as teacher, teacher trainer, school adviser and inspector, he has devoted his retirmenet to writing and art in a number of limited edition books.
