Description
Book SynopsisESPUELA DE PLATA (1939-1941) es la segunda empresa editorial del joven Josï Lezama Lima, que aïn habrïa de dirigir Nadie Parecïa (1942) ante de crear Orïgenes (1944-1956), sin duda, junto a la vanguardista Revista de Avance, la revista cubana mïs trascendental de todo el siglo XX y la mïs importante de su tiempo en lengua espaïola.
Espuela de Plata vale no sïlo como ensayo de lo que serïa Orïgenes sino tambiïn como realizaciïn plena, gracias al nïmero y calidad de los colaboradores literarios y grïficos que acompaïan sus seis apariciones.
Tipogrïficamente, la revista estuvo al cuidado en algunos de sus nïmeros del impresor malagueïo Manuel Altolaguirre, por entonces exiliado en la Habana.

Afila el viento sus dientes
en la piedra de amolar:
Chuis, chuis... rechinan las rïfagas,
y unas viene otras van...
Quebrados gritos de acero
que se aguzan al quebrar
baten pïjaros de hierro
para que quieran volar:

torre de la catedral.
Si se gastaban los dientes
se volvïan a afilar...
En un mar de mïrmol sïlo
y silencio sin edad,
afila el tiempo su diente...
y no se oïa afilar:
callïndose , sin callarse,
-asï bien callado va-
trabaja-bajo el no oïr-
para los ojos no mïs:
mano que amontona olvidos,
a golpes de eternidad...
