This scholarly, but reader-friendly collection of essays by Catholic and non-Catholic experts…is an excellent integration of challenging apologetics and sound ecumenical outreach. There is no better way to evangelize zealously and at the same time be ecumenically sensitive than to put no limits on the praise and love we shower on the Mother of God. De Maria numquam satis. The reason we can never give Mary too much honor is simply that we can never match the honor Christ first bestowed on her in becoming in the most literal sense her Child. If we wish to honor Christ authentically and above all else, then we must first do what He did: become her children, and then do what the beloved disciple did when Christ from the Cross told him to behold his Mother: take her into our hearts and homes. When we do this as beloved disciples, we will together find our Savior and salvation and in knowing Mary as she really is come quickly to realize that full union that has so long eluded us. -- Fr.
