Book SynopsisOriginally from London, Georgia Standen Battle is a DC Thomson comics staffer, working on titles such as Commando, Beano, The Dandy, The Broons and Oor Wullie.
Battle started her career at Titan Comics but, once established at DC Thomson, wrote her first issue for Commando, #5229 The Shadow in the Sky', making her the first woman to have written for the title since the 1980s. Since then, Battle has written many Commandos, including the Commandos vs Zombies' series.
Born in Madrid in 1944, Vicente Alcazar is a Spanish artist who started his career in the 1960s. Alcazar has worked on Archie Comics, Red Circle Comics, DC Comics and MarvelComics. He is well-known for his horror work, particularly and his run on Jonah Hex.Alcazar collaborated with fellow Commando artist Carlos Pino under the portmanteau pseudonym CARVIC, working on war comics for Chio and War Picture Library. Despite this, Alcazar's first Commando wasn't until 2015. Since then, Alcazar has become a regularcontributor to Commando, with many issues taking advantage of his background in horror artwork.
Neil Roberts is a freelance illustrator, sculptor, writer, lecturer and comic book artist residing in Lincolnshire, UK. He is responsible for the covers on Commando Comics, 2000 AD, and the New York Times best-selling series, The Horus Heresy, which has sold over one million books. His art covers Sci-Fi, History, Fantasy, his own designer toy range and much, much more.A classically-trained painter, Neil spent many years in the videogames industry working on a wide range of games and believes in applying a traditional approach, using modern technology to create memorable imagery.Roberts began working for Commando in 2017 and has become a regular cover artist for the title. His art was also featured on the cover of Commando's futuristic companion comic, Starblazer's graphic novel, in 2019.
