Book Synopsis
This work examines the religions of the world form the particular perspective of Christianity. It aims to accomplish a dual goal: 1) to provide an introductory review of the historical development of the religions of the world and a description of their belief systems, and 2) to explore avenues for an effective Christian witnessing among those who follow them. Christianity Among the Religions of the World is appropriate for students and educators in Christian colleges, universities, and seminaries.

Trade Review
Dr. Carlos Martin understands Christianity and also other religions. These understandings empower him to write convincingly about world religions and the relationship of Christianity to these belief systems. This book will contribute markedly to the study of world religions but more important, will contribute to the Christian witness to followers of these faiths. -- Dr. Ebbie C. Smith, retired missionary to Indonesia; professor of Christian Ethics and Missions, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth, Texas
In this day, Christians and Christian movements must be aware of and in dialogue with followers of the other religions of the world. Dialogue in this statement means communication with the purpose of conversion to Christianity. Dr. Carlos Martin sounds a needed emphasis for the approach to Christians to followers of other beliefs. -- Dr. Daniel R. Sánchez, Associate Dean, Masters Degrees, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth, Texas
This is an excellent resource for Christians to understand other religions and their culture, especially in this time of globalization. How I wish it had been available during my years as a missionary. I commend Dr. Martin and personally would not be without this precious volume. -- Dr. Jack J. Blanco, retired missionary tp Africa and the Far East. Dean of the School of Religion, Southern Adventist University, Collegedale, Tenne
