Trade Review

I have long been a fan of Pam Wedgwood’s ‘After Hours’ books (I’ve used them for myself for relaxation, for pupils who need a break from classical styles, for sight-reading practice and for fun) and was delighted to see this jazz addition to the series. I have always harboured a secret ambition to be a ‘cool’ jazz pianist but know (after a couple of jazz workshops) that this is never going to happen. However, I can pretend and almost pass for one when I have a book like this and so can most of my Grade 4 and upwards pupils….The pieces are approximately Grade 4-6 and are all beautifully written, sound absolutely true to the originals and are genuine jazz delights
