The poem topics are varied - humorous ( who could forget The Most Muscular Mussel); historical, where moments or people in history come alive in a way that is engaging and emotionally investing; romantic, which celebrate love as the most important and cherished facet of the human experience; contemplative, which attempt to present curious questions about the human condition or present human worries and insecurities in a relatable light; and finally an expedition into the mundane in hopes of finding within it a nice bounty of treasures.
